Everybody say "indie music" what do they mean?

Everybody is saying indie. 

Im an indie musician in my soul.

And the reason Im saying this is because indie music for me, is this music that musicians are doing anyhow, even before the time of the internet, and before ever :)

Music was always a part of the humanity and its cultures. 

Music is  made  of sounds that are arranged over time dimension. 

Humans need to live by rhythm. We divide time to decades, years, months, weeks, days, minutes, seconds etc...

We spread our lives over the time dimension. 

So is music. 

"Indie music" has nothing to do with the music genre. 

The term "indie music" relates today to all the music tracks that musicians create, and promote through all the media channels that we know like social networks,

facebook, twitter, google+, websites, internet radio stations etc...

These channels allow more musicians today to expose their music to the world, without being dependent on the record labels. Those companies used to rule the music industry.

Today it is a bigger challenge for them.
